It's a high-grade colorless urethane film with an adhesive backing that is applied to certain areas of the vehicle's painted sheet metal to help protect from scratches, abrasions, and weather damage. The film incorporates a clear top coat similar to the clear coat found with most automotive paint jobs. The material blends perfectly to the painted finish of the vehicle, creating an ultra glossy look.
Clear Paint Protection is precision-cut just before installation, and the patterns are designed to rigid engineering standards to fit the contours of each specific model. Aftermarket films may not fit perfectly or are cut right on the vehicle itself, subjecting the vehicle's paint to potential damage from the installer.
