Toyota hybrids have both a gas engine and an electric motor, which means better mpgs and fewer trips to the pump. You’re even saving money in stop-and-go traffic, because the battery actually charges as you brake using a technology called ‘regenerative braking.'

Toyota now offers more than 15 Hybrid models with varying unique capacities tailored to how you want to use your Toyota. The Toyota Hybrid offers improved gas mileage over gas-powered engines, the i-Force MAX Hybrid increases towing capacity, and the MAX Hybrid is Turbocharged for better handling.
For most Toyota hybrids, you don’t have to. Most of our hybrids have regenerative braking, meaning they charge as you brake.
We also offer two hybrids that you can plug in, the RAV4 Prime and the Prius Prime. These allow you to drive for many miles on electric power alone, increasing your combined mpg. For example, the RAV4 Prime has an EPA-estimated combined 94 MPGe.

Toyota Hybrid: No plug in required, these vehicles are powered by a combination of gas and energy captured from the vehicle’s braking motion, to recharge as you drive.
Toyota Hybrid MAX: Operates like a Toyota Hybrid but increases to a turbocharged engine for increased suspension, speed, and handling.
Toyota i-FORCE MAX Hybrid: Operates like a Toyota Hybrid but adds a motor generator for more torque and higher performance for high-capacity towing and off-road [off-road] adventures.
Toyota Plug-In Hybrid: Thanks to a larger battery pack, you can plug in to charge and run on electric power alone. When you use up its charge, it carries on like a regular Hybrid vehicle.
Toyota Battery Electric Vehicle: A pure Electric Vehicle that uses a combination of energy from the braking motion, like the Toyota Hybrid, but sources the rest of its power when you plug it in and charge it up.
